Where to Stay

It can sometimes be hard finding the perfect place to stay on your next weekend away, two week vacation or big round the world trip. There is so much to choose from these days and so much information on the internet it’s hard to even know where to start.

Some of the big name review websites can often be riddled with bogus reviews you just don’t know who to trust. And then there’s the big range of choice on the big booking sites. Narrowing down the options can be a confusing and daunting task for a first time or nervous traveller.

So that’s why I’ve come up with this list of where to stay. Every recommendation I make on this page and, on this website, is based on my personal honest experience. If I wouldn’t stay there again, I wouldn’t want you staying there EVER. Some places I’ve stayed just didn’t live up to my expectations or were so bad they are not even worth mentioning, so you won’t find any of those on here.

I want you to be able to TRUST the recommendations I make and enjoy your travels and experiences as much as I do. I’m not called The Trusted Traveller for nothing!

This is a constantly growing list that I will add to after every trip I take. For each hotel/hostel/resort I’ve included the following:

  • A $ rating letting you know the approximate price you can expect to pay (see the rate system key below).
  • Brief details on the property itself, rooms available and location.
  • A link to book this property for your next trip.
  • If I have reviewed the property in more detail, you will find a link to that post too.

How To Book

I want to make booking your trip simple and stress-free so I’ve given you a few options below to book with my TRUSTED partners. By using these links I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This commission helps The Trusted Traveller to keep running and growing.

Booking.com – Find and book accommodation ranging from small B&B’s to luxury resorts and everything in between. There are over 500,000 properties listed on Booking.com so you are almost guaranteed to find something that suits your budget and needs. Plus they have a Best Price Guarantee saving you money and verified reviews so you can rest assured you are booking a property that is of the standard you are looking for.

Airbnb – The latest accommodation craze taking the travel world by storm. This website allows people with a spare bed, room or whole property to list it for others to rent on a nightly basis. The great thing about staying in someone else’s home in another part of the world is that you are getting more of an authentic local experience you just can’t find in most hotels. And if you have a spare room at your place, why not rent it out to travellers to make a bit of extra cash for your next trip! Just by signing up to Airbnb using the link provided above, you get up to $AUD45 credit to use on your first booking.

Otherwise you can book direct with the property using the links provided under each property.
