  1. I wish knew about your website before we traveled to Europe. I don’t feel as if I saw or did as much as I could have because we were rushed here and there with a tour. After viewing your pics from Interlacken (we had 20 minutes to see the town) I realized how much we missed. We were rushed from Kleine Scheidegg up to Paris in 9 days seeing 13 cities in 4 countries. I know now how much I missed. Although I had a wonderful time I think next time I will do things slower and stay in a fewer places longer. 5 1/2 hours to explore Paris on our own was hardly enough time to walk the Champs-Elysees.

    • That is such a shame Richard but at least you enjoyed what you did see and you now have inspiration to want to go back. I do very much hope you get to go back someday soon and explore at a slower pace.

  3. Hello is your Italian travel plan post still open? I’ve booked accommodation before figuring out how to get around without too much backtracking. 23 days – starting:
Rome: 7 nights (some day trips)
    Amalfi: 3 nights
    Siena: 3 nights
    Florence: 2 nights
Then planned: Portofino to see Cinnque Terre (3 days) – any thoughts is Portofino better than Vernazza or vice-versa?
Then to Venice and Verona – onto Milan and leave from Milan.
Would you drop anything or switch?
    Many thanks

    • This looks to me like a good plan with plenty of quality time in each place and a logical route. Vernazza would be the better choice for basing yourself to explore Cinque Terre because it is one of the 5 towns that make up the region. Portofino is over 1 hours drive away and not connected to Cinque Terre. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!
