If there is something that can be said for Denver and Colorado in general, it is that it has beautiful scenery and nature to observe.
A visit to Denver, in our opinion, must include a trip to one of these places. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is a beautiful destination that provides visitors with a number of activities to choose from, while offering gorgeous views throughout the visit.
Whether you want to challenge yourself to a vigorous bike ride as you park your RV nearby or go hiking on one of the trails, it is the ideal outdoor excursion near Denver. If you are lucky, you may even be in town in time for a great concert at the Amphitheater. While technically not in Denver, it is located only 15 miles outside of the city, making it easy to get to.

After a day of hiking or biking in Red Rocks Park, you may want to treat yourself to a great meal in Larimer square. Restaurants like The Capital Grille or The Crimson Room are a couple of favorites in the area, with plenty of boutiques to check out or bars to visit in the area. Places such as Corridor 44 with its great champagne and excellent gourmet food and décor or Star Bar with its fantastic beer selection are two bars that are definitely fabulous options for a fun night out.
There is always going something going on in Larimer Square, so make sure to see if there will be any festivals during your time in Denver.

If you are still in the mood for visiting the great outdoors in Colorado, a day trip to Mount Evans may be exactly what you are looking for.
It’s a convenient outdoor visit as you can drive up to see incredible views while in the comfort of your car or RV or you can go on a fun adventure by parking your vehicle and going hiking.
It isn’t always open to cars, depending on the weather, so make sure to check out conditions before going. An interesting fact is that Mount Evans has the highest paved road in the U.S. One thing is for sure, it is worth your time, because the views from Mount Evans are some of the most amazing in all of Colorado and definitely near Denver.
